  • Richard Czerniawski: Senior Positioning & Branding Associate

Mr. Czerniawski has over 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising. He is former Director of Marketing for all U.S. soft drink brands for the Coca-Cola Company and has held key marketing positions with Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Richardson Vicks. Mr. Czerniawski has contributed to the success of Brands such as Coca-Cola Classic, Diet Coke, Folger's coffee, Band-Aid Brand adhesive bandages and Reach toothbrushes. Mr. Czerniawski is currently the Managing Director of the Business Development Network, a marketing consulting firm that conducts strategic advertising programs for the marketing managers of companies such as Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, Amway Corporation and Bristol-Meyers Squib. Mr. Czerniawski is a former Naval Aviator and Officer who served as an Instructor Pilot. He has an BS in Education, and an MBA. Mr. Czerniawski has served as a guest lecturer for the MBA programs at DePaul University, Lake Forest College, and Thunderbird International School of Management.

  • Michael Brian Bass, Ph.D.: Senior Market Research Analyst

Dr. Bass has over 15 years of experience in consumer and business-to-business market research and has held senior market research positions with the Pepsi-Cola Company, American Cyanamid, and Warner Lambert, conducting consumer and sensory research to support product optimization, package innovation, claims testing, promotional program evaluation, test market development, as well as brand image and sales tracking of competitive brands. Dr. Bass has been a key contributor to ASTM committee E-18 task force on Advertising Claims Substantiation to develop industry standard guidelines for claims testing methodology. Dr. Bass received a B.S. degree in psychology from Brooklyn College and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in psychology from Rutgers University.

  • William E. Hilson: Principal Information Design Analyst

William E. Hilson is an information designer with extensive expertise in digital design, imaging and graphic production for print and interactive media. Mr. Hilson is a member of the faculty of Pratt Institute's Graduate Communication Design and Computer Graphics departments; he is chairman of the Technology in the Arts Committee for the National Arts Club, and co-chair of the AIGA NY Technology in Design Special Interest Group.
